I can sing artists from Patsy Cline to Janis Joplin, but I am unsure as to whether or not I should sing a Christmas song or something nonChristmas? I have an mezzo soprano voice. Any ideas of a great crowd pleasing song, Christmas or not? Thanks.

best stick with non-denominational tunes like the classic happy holidays
I think you should sing janis joplin’s me and bobby megee
I love the song “Let There Be Peace On Earth”. It is my favorite and it could be sung without any music.
At first I thought of a Christmas song, in particular of the “Ave Maria”.
But nowadays it seems so easy to offend people….I mean, if there are people present who don’t celebrate Chrsitmas, cuz they have an other religion….might be tricky.
Maybe “Run too fast”, by Janis Ian would be a good song to sing, maybe people recognise themselves in the lyrics…in the good sense of the word, of course)
It has quite a catchy melody as well, IMHO.
Whatever you chose : good luck, have a great party.
